Cortland Weather Outlook: Sunday, August 15

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, August 15, 2021:

High pressure will keep the area comfortable and pleasant today.

Sunshine will mix with thin cirrus clouds are times today. At times, the clouds may filter the sunshine, while other times will have mostly sunny skies.

Only a few small fair weather clouds will develop. No rain will fall from any of the cloud cover today.

Winds around the high will be light with speeds near or under 5 mph. Top gusts will only clock in around 15 mph. What little wind there is will come in from the north.

Light though it may be the northerly flow will keep temperatures and humidity levels in check. Highs will  reach the mid 70s this afternoon with a few hilltops in the northern part of the county sticking to the low 70s. 

Dewpoints will spend the day hovering comfortably around 50 degrees.

Thin clouds will increase overnight but should still allow for a little moon light to shine through during the evening hours.

Evening temperatures will drop through the 60s and settle into the mid 50s for the overnight.

Monday: Thickening clouds. Maybe a late shower. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs near 80.

Tuesday: Scattered showers likely. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Wednesday: Scattered showers likely. Morning lows in the upper 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Thursday: Scattered showers continue. Morning lows in the upper 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.
