High pressure will take firm control of our weather today for a welcome break in the clouds and showers.

Sunny skies will dominate once patchy morning fog burns off early this morning. Clouds will be limited to some thin wispy clouds late and perhaps a few stray small fair weather clouds.

The high pressure center will be to our south-southwest. That will keep our winds coming in from the northwest at around or just over 5 mph. top gusts on the day will only be 15-20 mph.

High temperatures will top out around or just over 80 degrees this afternoon. Dewpoints will retreat slightly but will still be in the low to mid 60s.

Mostly clear skies will continue into the overnight but winds will swing around to the south. That will keep temperatures from getting any cooler than the low 60s overnight.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Thursday: A few scattered showers and storms, especially in the morning. Morning lows in the upper 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a late shower. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Saturday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.
