Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, September 25, 2021:

Quiet weather will continue for the daytime hours today before a weak impulse of atmospheric energy moves in tonight.

Thin clouds high in the atmosphere will gradually increase through the morning hours. By the afternoon, the sun will be filtered through the increasing clouds. The clouds will not become too thick, though, until late in the day. No rain is expected during the daytime hours.

After dark, the clouds will continue to thicken, and a few stray showers will be possible. Many areas will not see any rain, and those that do will see only light amounts.

Winds will be from the south and southwest at around 5 mph. Tonight, the wind will shift to the west with similar speeds.

It will be warmer today than it was yesterday with highs topping out around 70 degrees. 

It will be warmer for most of tonight, as well. Temperatures will only reach down into the mid 50s until just before sunrise, when it will drop closer to 50 degrees.
