Cortland Weather Outlook: Sunday, September 26

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, September 26, 2021:

A cold front moved through the region last night and will result in slightly cooler temperatures once again today.

Sunshine behind the front will be plentiful this morning. By the late morning hours, fair weather clouds will start to bubble up. These may become thick for a time this afternoon before they decrease and eventually diminish.

While the chances for rain are nearly zero, a brief, stray shower cannot be completely discounted. On the off chance there is a shower, it would be most likely in the early to mid afternoon.

Winds will be on the blustery side, coming in from the west-northwest at 10-15 mph. Top gusts will be around 30 mph.

High temperatures will be in the low 60s. Temperatures will drop back to around 50 degrees this evening, but then will rise into the mid 50s after midnight as winds turn to the southwest and some clouds build in.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Monday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with showers, especially early. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Thursday: More clouds than sun. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
