Your Cortland County weather forecast for Monday, October 11, 2021:

Without any nearby weather systems, the sun will shine in abundance today.

There will be some thin clouds high in the atmosphere that will pass through this morning. These may filter the sunshine at times. No rain will fall from these clouds.

These clouds should move east by midday, leaving clear blue skies for the afternoon.

Clear skies will then persist into the evening hours until some more thin clouds pass through during the overnight.

Winds will remain out of the southeast with speeds around or just over 5 mph. Top gusts on the day should be less than 20 mph.

Temperatures will be well above normal for the middle third of October, but in line with what we have been experiencing lately. Look for highs to in the low to mid 70s.

Temperatures tonight will drop back through the 50s and should be just above 50 degrees by dawn Tuesday.

Tuesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs around 70.

Wednesday: Clouds, some sun, and a few scattered showers. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs around 70.

Thursday: Morning clouds and perhaps some drizzle. Increasing afternoon sun. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Friday: A few morning showers. Then turning sunny. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
