Cortland Weather Outlook: Tuesday, October 12

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, October 12, 2021:

High pressure will continue to deliver warm, sunny weather to the area today.

Clouds will be hard to come by during most of the daytime hours. What few clouds there are will be thin and small with little impact on our sunshine.

Steady south-southeast winds will blow at just under 10 mph. Top gusts will clock in around 20 mph. 

Temperatures will end up similar to, or perhaps a touch warmer than yesterday. Look for highs in the low to mid 70s.

Tonight, thin clouds will gradually increase and thicken. There could even be a couple stray showers in the hours just before sunrise. Most areas will stay dry, though.

Nighttime temperatures will quickly fall into the mid 50s after sunset. South winds and the thickening clouds will then hold temperatures in place through the night.

Wednesday: Clouds, some sun, and a few scattered showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs around 70.

Thursday: Sunshine filtered through thin clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Friday: A few showers. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Saturday: Showers and possibly some thunderstorms. Breezy. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
