McGraw Eagles Shutout Bishop Grimes on Senior Night

The McGraw Golden Eagles took down Bishop Grimes with a score of 2-0 on senior night. This was also McGraw’s last game of the regular season. 

The seniors from McGraw that were honored at yesterday’s game were Logan Monroe, Benjamin Stull, Nolan Knickerbocker, Skyler Barrows, and Matthew Heath. 

“It was a great intense game on senior night,” said McGraw Head Coach Jamey Crumb. “Of course the nerves and intensity is up a little bit being senior night, but a win punched our ticket for sectional play tonight so it added a little more value for us.”

The Eagles were led offensively by ​​Nathan Stiles (1 goal) & Benjamin Stull (1 goal). 

Nolan Knickerbocker made 6 saves at goal for the Eagles. 

With this win, the Eagles ended the regular season with an overall record of 6-7, qualifying them for Sectional play. 

“I am just so happy for these seniors who have worked so hard over the years and to get where they are now,” added Coach Crumb. “It’s a proud dad/coach moment for sure. Now we get to take this momentum into Sectionals, the best time of the year.”

According to the Section III website, there will be a seeding meeting on Sunday (October 17th) where the Eagles will find out who their first Sectional opponent will be.
