Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, October 23

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, October 23, 2021:

Today will be cool but without any major players in the weather pattern.

Skies will generally be cloudy through the day today. Some breaks of sun are likely from time to time, though. Likewise, a couple stray showers will be possible at most any time. Any rain that falls should be light and brief.

Winds will start out nearly calm this morning but will increase from the west and northwest this afternoon. Wind speeds will still only be around 5 mph, though, with top gusts around 15 mph.

The clouds and lack of warming winds will hold temperatures down. Highs will probably not get higher than 50, and much of the county will end up just shy of that mark.

The chances for showers will increase this evening. Still, any rain should remain light and fairly brief. Behind the showers, skies may become partly clear after midnight.

Temperatures will be around 40 degrees this evening but will drop to the mid and upper 30s after midnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Sunday: Some early sun, followed by increasing clouds and evening rain. Morning lows in the mid and upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Monday: Rain likely, especially in the morning. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Tuesday: Periods of rain, possibly heavy. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs near 50.

Wednesday: Morning showers. Some afternoon sun. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.
