Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from Friday, Oct. 22 to Monday, Oct. 25. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department.
As of Monday, Oct. 25, the county reported that they have 118 active positive cases and six hospitalizations. Over the weekend, there were 52 new positive cases reported -- which accounts for a 38.6% positivity rate increase in that span.

The active positive cases, however, have gone from 135 on Friday to 118 on Monday. Hospitalizations as well went from nine on Friday to six on Monday.
According to the county health department’s weekly COVID-19 update between Oct. 18-24, there were 119 new positive cases (with 36 of them fully vaccinated), seven total hospitalizations and two deaths.
In terms of vaccination rates, 60.9% of the county’s population is fully vaccinated. It was an increase of 0.3% from the previous week.
