Cortland Weather Outlook: Thursday, October 28

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Thursday, October 28, 2021:

High pressure will keep our weather clear and dry again today.

Skies will be mostly sunny throughout the day. Some occasional thin clouds will drift in from the southwest, especially late in the day. No rain will fall, though.

Winds during the daytime hours will be light from the east with speeds under 5 mph. By evening, the wind will turn to the southeast and begin to increase. It will not be too windy, though, with speeds of 5-10 mph.

With the sunshine and light winds, temperatures will rebound from a cold start to reach a high in the upper 50s.

More thin clouds will mix in overnight, but some clear periods of expected as well.

The increase in wind tonight will then keep temperatures from falling too fast. Look for evening temperatures to gradually drop into the mid 40s with an overnight low around 40.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Friday: Increasingly cloudy with rain approaching late and becoming widespread in the evening. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Sunday: Morning showers. Some afternoon sun. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.
