Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, October 30

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, October 30, 2021:

Low pressure will pass just west of the area today, keeping showers in the forecast.

It will not be a washout today as dry air wraps around the low and into the area. In fact, the sun may poke through the clouds off and on throughout the day.

Still, there will also be periods of scattered showers. The rain will be light and, for the most part, brief. It may rain at any time today, day or night.

With the low over Western New York, our winds will continue to come in from the southeast. Wind speeds will mostly be around 10 mph but could be a bit higher during the midday hours.

Top gusts on the day should be greater than 25 mph, but probably will not quite reach 30 mph.

The winds and sunny breaks will team up to push temperatures in the upper 50s. If a little extra sun gets out, it could climb to 60 degrees.

Clouds and some showers during the evening will help hold temperatures up. The evening will be in the upper 40s with overnight lows in the mid 40s.
