Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from Tuesday, Nov. 2 to Friday, Nov. 5. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department.
As of Friday, Nov. 5, the county reported 140 active positive cases and five hospitalizations, with 453 individuals currently being monitored. Since Tuesday, Nov. 2, there have been 92 new positive cases reported -- which accounts for a 41% positivity rate increase in that span.

Active positive cases from Nov. 2-5 have gone up and fluctuated from 134 to 140. There have also been two new deaths and six new hospitalizations, bringing the death and hospitalization totals in the county to 84 and 324, respectively.
To date, 6,509 county residents have tested positive for the virus. Over 61% of the population in the county is fully vaccinated.
