Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, November 6

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, November 6, 2021:

High pressure just to the east will keep skies sunny and help temperatures get a bit warmer today.

Skies will be mostly clear both during the daytime hours and tonight. Even thin cirrus clouds will be few and far between. Without any clouds, precipitation will of course not be possible.

The clockwise flow of air on the backside of the high will lead to light south winds today. Wind speeds will be around 5 mph with gusts not even reaching 15 mph.

The sunshine and southerly breeze will help temperatures rebound from another cold start. Look for afternoon highs to be a bit warmer than they have been this week, topping out in the upper 40s to perhaps near 50.

Temperatures will be a bit slower to cool tonight as the south wind persists. It will still be a steady drop through the 30s this evening with upper 20s by the predawn hours.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Sunday: Mostly sunny. A few thin clouds. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Monday: A few early clouds. Then, mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Tuesday: Cloudy. Maybe an early shower. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Wednesday: A few scattered showers, mostly early on. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.
