Cortland Weather Outlook: Sunday, November 7

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, November 7, 2021:

High pressure will continue to bring sunny skies, chilly nights, and comfortable daytime hours.

Skies will be sunny throughout the daytime hours and clear into tonight. Thin cirrus clouds associated with low pressure over the Atlantic should stay far to the east. Without any clouds, precipitation will of course not be possible.

Light south winds in the clockwise flow of air on the backside of the high will persist. Wind speeds will be around or under 5 mph with gusts not even reaching 10 mph.

Temperatures will continue to creep upwards and most of the county should finally break 50 degrees today.

Temperatures will drop into the 30s this evening but should stay out of the 20s overnight thanks to a shift in the wind to the southwest which will bring in some warmer air.
