Our trend of sunny weather and slowly warming temperatures will continue for one more day today.

High pressure is located over the Southeastern United States and extends northeast into New England, coming right over Cortland County in the process.

This will bring another day of sunshine with just a few morning clouds possible. The rest of the day should be clear, as should the evening. After midnight, some new clouds will move in from the northwest, but on rain will fall.

Winds will be nearly calm once again today. What little breeze there is will have a southerly or southwesterly direction.

Temperatures will warm nicely today with highs reaching well above the daily average. By this afternoon it will be in the upper 50s and couple places could flirt with 60 degrees.

It will cool back into the 40s this evening with lows in the low 40s after midnight. As those aforementioned clouds move in overnight, temperatures may climb back into the mid 40s by dawn Tuesday.

Thursday: Thickening thin clouds. Nighttime rain and gusty winds. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Friday: Morning showers. Some sun late. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.
