Cortland County COVID-19 Wrap-Up for Wednesday, Nov. 10

Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from the weekend of Nov. 5-7 to Monday, Nov. 8. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department.

Over the weekend going into Monday, Nov. 8, the county has reported 132 active positive cases and five hospitalizations. Since Friday, Nov. 5, there were 61 new positive cases reported and two new hospitalizations. The positivity case rate saw a 51% increase in that span.

Active positive cases from Nov. 5 to Nov. 8 have gone and fluctuated from 140 to 132. Hospitalizations have balanced at five since Friday.

According to the county health department’s weekly COVID-19 update between Nov. 1-7, there have been 150 positive cases, 11 hospitalizations and two deaths. Of the 106 positive cases in isolation as of 8 a.m. on Nov. 8, 73 of them are unvaccinated and 33 are vaccinated.

About 61.5% of the population in Cortland County is fully vaccinated, a .3 increase from the previous week.
