Cortland County COVID-19 Wrap-Up for Tuesday, Nov. 16

Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from the week of Nov. 8-14 to Monday, Nov. 15. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department.

On Monday, Nov. 15, the county reported 138 active positive cases and two hospitalizations. Since Friday, Nov. 12, there were 68 new positive cases reported (a 60.9% increase in that span), but no new hospitalizations.

As of Nov. 15, there have been 6,480 recovered cases, 456 individuals being monitored, 330 hospitalizations and 85 deaths in the county.

Active positive cases from Nov. 9 to Nov. 15 have gone and fluctuated from 128 to 138. Hospitalizations have balanced between two and five since Nov. 9.

According to the county health department’s weekly COVID-19 update between Nov. 8-14, there have been 136 positive cases, four hospitalizations and one death. Of the 114 positive cases in isolation as of 8 a.m. on Nov. 15, 70 of them are unvaccinated and 44 are fully vaccinated.

About 61.8% of the population in the county is fully vaccinated, a .3 increase from the previous week.
