Cortland County Sheriff's Office Investigating Burglary in Town of Cortlandville

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged burglary that recently took place at a local business on Route 13 in the town of Cortlandville, according to a county sheriff’s new release.

The release states that county sheriff’s deputies recently responded to a complaint from the business. The complaint noted that a burglar entered the business on Nov. 6 at about 7:30 p.m., where “items were stolen.”

The investigation is ongoing, the release states. Those who have any information related to the incident or able to identify the individual should contact Sgt. Mark Starner, part of the criminal investigation division at the county sheriff’s office, at 607-758-5541.

When asked which business made the complaint and what items were stolen, Starner declined to comment.
