Woman arrested on burglary, petit larceny charges

A city of Cortland woman was arrested on Wednesday after stealing merchandise from a grocery store in the town of Cortlandville, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.

The report stated that county sheriff’s deputies dispatched to TOPS Friendly Markets on 3932 Rt. 281 in the town of Cortlandville for a larceny complaint against Adrianne L. Wagoner, 38, of the city of Cortland.

Once sheriff’s deputies wrapped up the investigation, it was determined that Wagoner “stole merchandise from the store,” the report states.

Wagoner has been charged with third-degree burglary (a Class-D Felony) and petit larceny (a Class-A misdemeanor).

Wagoner was released on one’s own recognizance and issued an appearance ticket. She is due to appear in the town of Cortlandville court on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m.
