Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, November 20

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, November 20, 2021:

A quiet day is ahead for Cortland County, just do not count on much in the way of sunshine.

Thin clouds began moving in overnight and will thicken up this morning. Before that happens, a little sunshine will filter through the clouds. This will not last long, and most of the day will just be gray.

No rain or snow will fall from any of the clouds, though.

It will not be as windy as yesterday. Today’s winds will be out of the south at around 5 mph this morning and up to 10 mph this afternoon. Top gusts should clock in around 20 mph.

The south winds will warm temperatures a little, but without the sunshine, it will not be a big warm up. After a chilly start, highs should reach the low 40s.

Tonight will be more of the same with overcast skies and light winds. A stray shower or flurry after midnight cannot be totally ruled out but is unlikely to amount to much.

Temperatures will not be as chilly as last night with overnight lows in the mid 30s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Sunday: Cloudy with late showers. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.

Monday: Morning showers. Some afternoon sun. Morning temperatures in the low 40s. Afternoon temperatures falling to the mid 30s.

Tuesday: Snow showers likely with some minor accumulations. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 20s.

Wednesday: A few clouds early and a few more late. Otherwise, sunny. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.
