Cortland County COVID-19 Wrap-Up for Tuesday, Nov. 23

Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from the week of Nov. 15-21 to Monday, Nov. 22. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department.

On Monday, Nov. 22, the county reported 144 active positive cases and 11 hospitalizations. Since Friday, Nov. 19, there have been 51 new positive cases (a 70.2% increase in that span) and three new hospitalizations.

As of Nov. 22, there have been 6,849 total positive cases, 6,620 recovered cases, 342 hospitalizations and 85 deaths in the county.

Active positive cases from Nov. 16 to Nov. 22 have gone and fluctuated from 148 to 152. Hospitalizations have made a steady incline from three to 11 since Nov. 16.

According to the county health department’s weekly COVID-19 update between Nov. 15-21, there have been 148 positive cases, 11 hospitalizations -- but no deaths. Of the 127 positive cases in isolation as of 8 a.m. on Nov. 22, 82 of them are unvaccinated and 45 of them are fully vaccinated.

The percentage of county residents fully vaccinated is currently 62.2%, a .4% increase from the previous week.
