Cortland Weather Outlook: Tuesday, November 23

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, November 23, 2021:

High pressure will build in today, putting an end to some early lake effect and increasing our sunshine.

Flurries and squalls moved in overnight and will continue to be possible through the early and mid morning hours. Some roads may be a bit messy with light snow accumulations possible.

The lake effect will pivot to the south and dissipate during the latter half of the morning. High pressure will then work on clearing the skies for the afternoon with ample sunshine and just a few clouds expected.

A stiff northwest wind will blow with speeds of 10-12 mph. Top gusts will come in at just under 30 mph.

It will be another chilly day. Even before factoring in the wind, high temperatures will struggle to escape the low 30s. Wind chills will make it feel closer to 20 degrees.

Skies will be mostly clear tonight, though a few patches of cloud may drift through. Temperatures will drop into low 20s overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.
