Tompkins Cortland Community College to Hold Certified Nurse Aid Information Session Dec. 4; Scholarships Available for Cortland County Residents (Sponsored Content)

Dryden, New York– Anyone looking to start or advance a career in health care by becoming a certified nurse aide should attend an upcoming information session on the new program at Tompkins Cortland Community College. The information session will be held virtually and start at 9 a.m. on December 4. Registration for the free session is required at bit.ly/CNAinfo12-4 or by emailing [email protected]. Participants must attend the information session before signing up for the next round of classes, which run January 4-22, 2022. 

Through a partnership with Cortland County Community Action Program, Inc. (CAPCO), grant funding is available to cover full tuition and related expenses for Cortland County residents that meet income guidelines. The College created the CNA program last year in response to local and regional needs. The intensive three-week program prepares students for a career in healthcare, complete with classroom and lab training, as well as clinical experiences at Cayuga Medical Center or Guthrie Cortland Regional Medical Center. The classes begin January 4 and are led by faculty from the College’s prestigious nursing program.
