Cortland County COVID-19 Wrap-Up for Tuesday, Nov. 30

Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from the week of Nov. 22-28 to Monday, Nov. 29. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department.

On Monday, Nov. 29, the county reported 135  active positive cases, four hospitalizations and one new death. Since Wednesday, Nov. 24, there have been 87 new positive cases (64% increase in that span) and one new hospitalization.

As of Nov. 29, there have been 6,973 total positive cases, 6,751 recovered cases, 376 individuals currently being monitored, 345 total hospitalizations and 85 deaths in the county.

Active positive cases between Nov. 24 and Nov. 29 have gone and fluctuated from 131 to 135. Hospitalizations have declined from 10 to four since Nov. 24.

According to the county health department’s weekly COVID-19 update between Nov. 22-28, there have been 118 positive cases, four hospitalizations and two deaths. Of the 109 positive cases in isolation as of 8 a.m. on Nov. 29, 77 of them are unvaccinated and 32 of them are fully vaccinated.

The percentage of county residents fully vaccinated is currently 62.2%, the same percentage from the week of Nov. 15-21.
