Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, December 4

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, December 4, 2021:

A quick moving area of low pressure will track well to our north today but will bring a chance for a few showers or flurries.

The morning will start off dry and possibly even with some sunshine. Clouds will increase though, and by the midday and afternoon hours, it will be mostly cloudy.

Precipitation will be most likely during the early to mid afternoon as the cold front associated with the low drags through the area. Nothing more than some scattered rain and/or snow showers are expected. The precipitation should have little to no noticeable impacts.

Ahead of the front, winds will be out of the southwest. Winds will start at around 5 mph but will increase to 10 mph by the early afternoon.

Winds will then shift to the west and, by evening, northwest with speeds settling between 5-10 mph. Top gusts will come with the front at around 25 mph.

Temperatures will be seasonable today with highs reaching the upper 30s. Cooler air behind the front will knock temperatures back into the upper 20s for the evening and the mid 20s overnight.
