Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from Wednesday, Dec. 8 to Friday, Dec. 10. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department.
On Friday, Dec. 10, the county reported 231 active positive cases, five current hospitalizations and one new death. Since Wednesday, Dec. 8, there have been 112 new positive cases (68% increase in that span), three new hospitalizations and one death.
As of Dec. 10, there have been 7,285 total positive cases, 357 compiled hospitalizations and 88 deaths in the county.
Up until Dec. 10, 26,336 residents (55.3%) in Cortland County are fully vaccinated, with 28,360 residents receiving at least one dose. Of the county’s population that is 12 years-or-older, 62.7% of them are fully vaccinated. Between 5-to-11 year olds, 7.8% of them have received both of their doses.
