A mild day is ahead before a cold front moves through tonight.

Southwest winds will help push the warm air into the region throughout the day. Wind speeds will be near or just over 10 mph with gusts nearing 30 mph.

Skies will be a mix of sun and clouds. No rain is expected during the daytime hours.

This will all add up to highs reaching the mid 50s. Temperatures will hold steady in the mid 50s, even after sunset, until the cold front arrives in the late evening.

The temperature will drop rather quickly after midnight, reaching the mid 30s by sunrise Friday.

As the front comes through, a brief band of showers will be possible. A stray shower earlier in the evening out ahead of the cold front will be possible as well.

Winds will also increase as the front approaches with speeds around 15 mph. The wind will turn to the west as the front moves through and decrease through the overnight.

Monday: Sun and a few clouds. Morning lows in the mid 10s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.
