Here are some local high school varsity sports recaps from Monday’s events:
Varsity Boys Basketball: Homer vs. Chittenango
The Homer Trojans lost a tough game against Chittenango with a score of 23-85 Monday night.
The Trojans were led by Wyatt Wilbur (10 points) and Evan Butts (4 points)
Chittenango was led by Ryan Moesch (20 points), Tyrus Kelly (14 points), Alex Moesch (12 points), and Zane Bender (11 points).
With this loss, the Trojans now hold a 2-3 overall record.
Up next, Homer will take on Westhill on the road this Wednesday (December 22nd) at 6:30pm.
Varsity Girls Basketball: Cincinnatus vs. Brookfield
The Cincinnatus varsity girls’ basketball team lost 27-51 against Brookfield.
With this loss, Cincinnatus is now 1-3 overall.
Cincinnatus was led by Gabriella Taylor (8 points), Cassia Schuyler (7 points), and Emma Finch (6 points).
Brookfield was led by Lily Elliott (25 points), Megan Kupris (15 points), and Sara Brean (11 points)
Up next, Cincinnatus will play against Stockbridge Valley on the road on Wednesday (December 22nd) at 6pm.
