Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from Tuesday, Dec. 21 to Thursday, Dec. 23. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department.
On Thursday, Dec. 23, the county reported 201 active positive cases, 546 individuals being monitored, 11 current hospitalizations, but no new deaths. Since Tuesday, Dec. 21, there have been 65 new positive cases (32% increase in that span) and three new hospitalizations.
The percentage of positive tests on a daily basis is 10.3%, with a 7-day average of 8%.
As of Dec. 23, there have been 7,723 total positive cases, 384 compiled hospitalizations and 89 deaths in the county.
Up to Dec. 23, 26,836 residents (56.4%) in Cortland County are fully vaccinated, with 28,512 residents receiving at least one dose. Of the county’s population that is 12 years-or-older, 63.1% of them are fully vaccinated. Between 5-to-11 year olds, 15.1% of them have received both of their doses.
