Varsity Wrestling: Marathon vs. Moravia

The Marathon Olympians celebrated senior night by defeating Moravia 67-0 Tuesday night. 

The seniors that were recognized during the meet were Trevor Hurlbert, Timothy Morehouse, and Ethan Morrison.

The Homer Trojans defeated Altmar-Parish-Williamstown 54-21 on the road Tuesday night.

Varsity Boys Basketball: Homer vs. Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (APW)

The Homer Trojans won 55-33 against APW at home Tuesday night. 

With this win, the Trojans improved their overall record to 3-6. 

Homer was led by Jon Barnes (16 points), Evan Butts (10 points), and Wyatt Wilbur (9 points). 

APW was led by Tyler Smith (13 points), Dominick Robinson (5 points), and Wyatt Stanard (5 points). 

Up next, Homer will play Mexico on the road this Friday (January 14th) at 6:30pm.

Varsity Boys Basketball: Cortland vs. Central Square

The Cortland Purple Tigers lost a close game to Central Square with a score of 58-60. 

The Tigers were led by Max Gambitta (20 points), Tyler Blake (18 points), and Emerson Johnson (13 points). 

Central Square was led by Trevor Boyce (18 points) and Jeffrey Meyers (13 points). 

With this loss the Tigers are now 5-5 overall, and will be taking on Fulton on the road this Friday (January 14th) at 6:45pm. 

Varsity Girls Basketball: McGraw vs. StockBridge Valley (SBV)

The McGraw Lady Eagles lost a tough game against Stockbridge Valley with a score of 35-25. 

The Eagles were led by Thompson Mariah (8 points), Hannah Wilson (4 points), Hailey McCall (4 points), and Heather Magee (4 points). 

Stockbridge Valley was led by Marlie Brummer (8 points) and Alyssa Enslow (5 points). 

With this loss, the Lady Eagles now hold a 2-4 record. 

McGraw’s next game is scheduled to be played on the road against Brookfield this Friday (January 14th) at 6pm. 

Varsity Girls Basketball: Cincinnatus vs. Madison

The Cincinnatus Lady Lions defeated Madison 37-14 in order to improve to a 2-8 overall record. 

The Lions were led by Cortney Scutt (19 points), Kaedance Latta (6 points), and Emma Finch (6 points). 

Madison was led by Mackenzie Cotter (4 points) and Janet Coleman (3 points). 

Up next, Cincinnatus will host Stockbridge Valley on Friday (January 14th) at 6pm. 

Varsity Girls Basketball: Cortland vs. Central Square

The Cortland Lady Tigers defeated Central Square 39-24 on the road last night. 

The Tigers were led by Kirsten Merritt (14 points), Margaret Starr (9 points), Claire Turner (6 points).

Central Square was led by Natalie Bush (14 points) and Kaitlyn Pownall (6 points). 

Up next, the now 7-2 overall Cortland Lady Tigers will host Fulton on Friday (January 14th) at 6:45pm.
