Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from Wednesday, Jan. 12 to Friday, Jan. 14. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department.
On Friday, Jan. 14, the county reported 296 active positive cases, six current hospitalizations, but no deaths. Since Wednesday, Jan. 12, there have been over 500 new positive cases and seven new hospitalizations.
The percentage of positive tests on a daily basis is 21.1%, with a 7-day average of 17.5%.
As of Jan. 14, there have been 10,271 total positive cases, 429 compiled hospitalizations and 90 deaths in the county.
Up to Jan. 14, 57.3% of residents in Cortland County are fully vaccinated, and 45.8% of those residents have received a booster shot. Of the county’s population that is 12 years-or-older, 63.7% of them are fully vaccinated. For 5-to-11 year olds, 19.1% of them have received both of their doses.
