Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, January 15

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, January 15, 2022:

A Wind Chill Warning remains in effect for today until 1 PM.

Bitter cold air will hang tough today with north winds remaining in place.

Wind speeds will generally be above 5 mph, but below 10 mph. Even these light winds will produce wind chills well below zero.

The actual temperature will struggle to rise above zero this afternoon but should be able to make it. The southern half of the county may even be able to push above 5 degrees.

An area of cloudiness will move in this morning and linger into the mid-afternoon. Behind the clouds, skies should turn clear again, just in time for another frigid night.

Temperatures will quickly fall back below zero this evening, but winds will begin to turn to the east, then southeast, halting the progression of the cooling.

It will still likely be below zero early Sunday morning, but just a couple of degrees below.
