Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from Wednesday, Jan. 19 to Friday, Jan. 21. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department.
On Friday, Jan. 21, the county reported 217 active positive cases, 17 current hospitalizations, and three deaths. Since Wednesday, Jan. 19, there have been over 396 new positive cases and seven new hospitalizations.
The percentage of positive tests on a daily basis is 16.4%, with a 7-day average of 17%.
As of Jan. 21, there have been 11,110 total positive cases, 445 compiled hospitalizations and 95 deaths in the county.
Up to Jan. 21, 57.6% of residents in Cortland County are fully vaccinated, and 49.1% of those residents have received a booster shot. Of the county’s population that is 12 years-or-older, 64% of them are fully vaccinated. For 5-to-11 year olds, 20.8% of them have received both of their doses.
