On January 21st, 2022, City Police Investigator Daniel Edwards arrested Correy R. Lambert (30) of 3 Garfield Street Cortland after Lambert failed to meet the registration requirements set forth by the State's Sex Offender Registration Act.
Those individuals listed on the NYS Sex Offender Registry are subject to a number of requirements, based upon their court determined offender level. Among them, level 3 offenders are required to sign in with the local police department every 90 days. Level 3 Offenders are also required to provide an updated photograph of themselves to local police annually.
Lambert failed to comply with either of those requirements and was charged with;
- Violation of the Sex Offender Registry as a 2nd Offense (F)
- Sex Offender Failure to appear to have photo taken (F)
Lambert was arraigned and released to appear again in City Court on 02/25/202 at 10:45 AM.
