Cortland County COVID-19 Wrap-Up for Tuesday, Feb. 22

Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from over the weekend. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.

As of Feb. 20, there have been 10,234 total positive cases, over 590 total hospitalizations and 112 deaths in the county. According to the state’s COVID-19 tracker, the 7-day average for percentage who test positive and cases per 100K is 5.5% and 27.5%, respectively.

According to the county health department’s COVID-19 update for the week of Feb. 14-20, there were over 100 positive cases and over five hospital admissions.

As of Feb. 20, the percentage of county residents fully vaccinated is 58.6%, with 61.8% of residents that are 5 years-or-older reported as fully vaccinated. Additional county numbers show that 54.6% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
