Cortland County COVID-19 Wrap-Up for Tuesday, March 1

Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from over the weekend. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.

As of Feb. 27, there have been 10,286 total positive cases, close to 600 total hospitalizations and 113 deaths in the county. According to the state’s COVID-19 tracker, the 7-day average for percentage who test positive and cases per 100K is 5.5% and 15.5, respectively.

According to the county health department’s COVID-19 update for the week of Feb. 21-27, there were 85 positive cases and over five hospital admissions.

As of Feb. 27, the percentage of county residents fully vaccinated is 58.8%, with 62% of residents that are 5 years-or-older reported as fully vaccinated. Additional county numbers show that 55.3% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
