Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from Feb. 28 to March 6. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.

As of March 6, there have been 10,331 total positive cases, 602 total hospitalizations and 114 deaths in the county. According to the state’s COVID-19 tracker, the 7-day average for percentage who test positive and cases per 100K is 3% and 13.4, respectively.

According to the county health department’s COVID-19 update for the week of Feb. 28-March 6, there were 84 positive cases and three hospital admissions.

As of March 7, the percentage of county residents fully vaccinated is 58.9%, with 62.1% of residents that are 5 years-or-older reported as fully vaccinated. Additional county numbers show that 55.5% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
