Your Cortland County weather forecast for Thursday, March 10, 2022:

High pressure will bring a quiet day and some milder temperatures to the area today.

Sunshine will mix with thin clouds throughout the day. The clouds should not block out the sun but may filter it to varying degrees. All in all, though, it should be more sunny than cloudy.

With mainly thin clouds high in the atmosphere, no precipitation will fall today.

Winds will be light today with speeds generally near or under 5 mph. What little wind there is will start from the southwest this morning but will spend most of the day from the northwest or north.

The north winds will have little impact on the temperature, though, with highs about ten degrees warmer than yesterday, topping out in the low to mid 40s.

Thin clouds will persist into the evening and overnight. A few periods of mostly clear skies will be possible.

Temperatures tonight will again be reasonably comfortable, settling in the mid 20s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Friday: Increasing and thickening clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Saturday: Periods of snow, sometimes heavy. Windy with blowing snow in the afternoon and evening. Early morning near 30, but afternoon temperatures in the upper 10s.

Sunday: Scattered snow showers. Morning lows near 10. Afternoon highs in the mid 20s.
