Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, March 15, 2022:

A frontal boundary will drop south toward the region today but is unlikely to make it through the area.

With the front nearby most of the day, plenty of clouds are expected. The best chance for some breaks of sunshine will be through the morning hours. These should be limited, though.

A few stray flurries or showers cannot be ruled out this morning either, but the best chance for precipitation will come later in the afternoon into the early evening.

At this time, scattered rain showers will be possible. None of the rain should be particularly heavy or widespread.

With the front nearby, winds will be light and generally from the south. Wind speeds will be near or under 5 mph and top gusts will only come in around 10 mph.

Afternoon highs should break into the low 50s despite the cloud cover. Evening temperatures will drop into the mid 30s, where they will remain through the overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Wednesday: Some morning clouds. Plenty of sunshine. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Thursday: Sun and a few thin clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Friday: More clouds than sun. Afternoon rain showers. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
