Your Cortland County weather forecast for Friday, March 25, 2022:

Low pressure is stalled out to our north and will keep the weather unsettled today.

Skies will be mostly cloudy throughout the day with rain showers possible at any time.

That being said, the chances for rain will be higher in the afternoon and evening, and there may be some sun between clouds through the morning.

The rain that falls today will be off and on and generally light. Tonight, as temperatures cool, the rain will mix with snow, especially over higher elevations.

Winds today will be a bit on the blustery side, especially this afternoon. Wind speeds will be near or just above 10 mph with gusts just shy of 30 mph.

These winds will come from the southwest, but they will not be warming winds.

Temperatures may briefly reach the upper 40s or even 50 degrees during the midday hours. As the winds increase, temperatures will drop back to the mid 40s for most of the afternoon.

Evening temperatures will settle in the mid 30s, where they will remain most of the night.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Saturday: Rain showers, possibly mixing with snow early. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Monday: Windy with snow showers and blowing snow. Cold. Morning lows in the mid 10s. Afternoon highs near 20.
