Cortland Weather Outlook: Sunday, April 3

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, April 3, 2022:

An area of low pressure will move through the region today, resulting in a dreary day.

Rain and snow showers will be possible throughout the day. Most of the precipitation will be light, but it will be ongoing much of the time.

Snow will be most likely early this morning and during the latter half of the afternoon. Rain will be more likely during the later morning and early afternoon.

Flurries will taper off this evening and end during the overnight.

Temperatures will get a boost immediately ahead of the low pressure center and may make it into the mid 40s late this morning and during the midday hours.

As the low passes by, temperatures will drop back into the upper 30s later in the afternoon. Nighttime temperatures will dip into the mid and then low 30s. 

Winds will start the day from the southeast, but will turn to the west, then northwest, as the center of low pressure passes overhead. 

The strongest winds will be in the afternoon after the shift to the northwest, with speeds of 10-15 mph and gusts approaching 30 mph.

Monday: Mostly cloudy. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Tuesday: Rather cloudy. Maybe a stray shower. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Wednesday: Rain likely, especially in the morning. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Thursday: Rain likely. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.
