The transmission of COVID-19 in Cortland County has risen to medium as of April 1, according to the county health department.

As of April 3, there have been 10,633 total positive cases, 625 total hospitalizations and 116 deaths in the county. According to the state’s COVID-19 tracker, the 7-day average for percentage who test positive and cases per 100K is 7.4% and 31.7, respectively.

According to the county health department’s COVID-19 update for the week of March 28-April 3, there were over 150 positive cases and over 10 hospital admissions.

As of April 3, the percentage of county residents fully vaccinated is over 59%, with 62.3% of residents that are 5 years-or-older reported as fully vaccinated. Additional county numbers show that 56.5% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
