Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, April 5, 2022:

Today will probably be the sunniest day of the week, but there will still be clouds to deal with. 

Sunshine will be the most common during the morning hours. There will still be some clouds from time to time. The clouds will increase for the afternoon. 

Skies will be mostly cloudy this evening and overnight with a few rain showers possible after midnight. Otherwise, it will be dry throughout today.

Winds will turn to the south today with speeds increasing to around 10 mph by the afternoon. Top gusts should stay under 25 mph.

The breaks of sunshine and southerly winds will give temperatures a boost. Look for highs to be 10-15 degrees warmer than yesterday as they reach the mid and upper 50s.

This evening, temperatures will fall through the 40s and into the upper 30s by midnight. Temperatures will lose a couple more degrees but should stay above 35 degrees. Before dawn, temperatures should rise back to near 40.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. Maybe a rain shower. Morning lows in the upper 30s to near 40. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Thursday: Rain likely. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Saturday: Showers likely. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.
