Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, April 12, 2022:

A cold front is moving through the region early this morning but temperatures today will not be all that different than yesterday.

Any stray showers and clouds with the front will clear out before 9 AM, leaving mostly sunny skies for the latter half of the morning and the first part of the afternoon.

Some new thin clouds will work in later in the afternoon, but these will only filter the sunshine somewhat, not block it out.

The clouds will remain into the evening, gradually becoming thicker overnight. A few more rain showers and perhaps a rumble of thunder will move in before dawn on Wednesday.

Behind the front, winds will be from the northwest, peaking with speeds around 10 mph during the afternoon. A few wind gusts could reach as high as 25 mph.

The front will not have much in the way of cold air behind it, with high temperatures will be near 60 degrees this afternoon. Evening temperatures will fall through the 40s with some upper 30s overnight.

Before sunrise tomorrow, temperatures should come back up to the low 40s.

Wednesday: Scattered shower and perhaps a few rumbles of thunder. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Early afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Midday highs in the mid 70s.

Friday: Sunny with afternoon fair weather clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Perhaps a few stray showers. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.
