The Cortland Purple Tigers improved their overall record to 7-0 after defeating Jamesville-Dewitt at home Thursday afternoon. The Tigers won the game with a score of 10-3.
Cortland’s offense was led by Caden Albright (3 runs, 2 hits & 2 RBI’s), Tyler Blake (1 run, 2 hits & 3 RBI’s), Andrew Partigianoni (3 runs & 2 hits), Caden Congdon (1 run, 2 hits & 1 RBI), Max Gambitta (2 hits & 1 RBI), Kooper Knabe (2 hits & 1 RBI), Scott Hourigan (1 run & 1 RBI), Ethan Hay (1 hit & 1 RBI), and Christopher Yang (1 run).
Jamesville-Dewitt was led by Matt Sweeney (1 run & 1 hit), Eamon Giblin (1 run & 1 hit), Carter King (1 run & 1 hit), and Jake Ogata (2 hits).
Cortland pitchers Tyler Blake and Scott Hourigan threw a combined total of 11 strikeouts from the mound. Blake threw 7 strikeouts and Hourigan threw 4 strikeouts.
Jamesville-Dewitt pitchers AJ Sumida and Jake Ogata threw a total of 5 strikeouts. Sumida threw 3 and Ogata threw 2.
