Varsity Girls Lacrosse: Cortland Loses Tough Game vs. Central Square (Photos Included)

The Cortland Lady Tigers lost a tough game against Central Square with a final score of 8-12 at home Thursday night. With this loss, the Lady Tigers now hold a 0-2 record, while Central Square improved to 4-3. 

During the game, Cortland was led by Margaret Starr (2 goals & 2 assists), Olivia Magin (2 goals & 2 assists), Gabrielle Cranfield (2 goals & 1 assist), Valerosa Gambitta (2 goals), and Ashley Beams (1 assist). 

Central Square was led by Emma Dempsey (4 goals), Merissa McCorry (2 goals & 1 assist), Melayna Miller (2 goals), Hannah Reichard (2 goals), Jenna James (1 goal & 2 assists), and Caitlin Garvin (1 goal). 

Cortland goalie Hayden Bulger made 7 saves in the game, while Danni Moran and Arianna Bailey combined for a total of 10 saves for Central Square. Moran made 6 saves and Bailey made 4 saves.

Up next, Cortland will host Nottingham (Syracuse) tonight (April 22nd) at Cortland High School. The game is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm.
