Local high school basketball players receive all-state nods (photos included)

The New York State Sportswriters Association (NYSSWA) recently announced its all-state high school basketball selections – and a handful of standouts from Cortland County received nods.

For boys basketball, Cincinnatus senior Scott Schuyler and Marathon junior Conor Holland were respectively selected to the all-state Class D first and second teams.

A list of NYSSWA’s all-state boys basketball Class B, C and D selections can be seen here (NOTE: According to NYSSWA, Class AA and A all-state boys basketball selections will be announced on April 27).

Marathon senior Brooke Tillotson was selected to the Class D all-state first team. Her teammate, sophomore Abigail Ensign, garnered a nod to the Class D all-state sixth team.

Homer junior Catherine Apker received a Class B all-state sixth team nod.
