The transmission of COVID-19 in Cortland County is still at medium as of April 22, according to the county health department.

According to the county health department’s COVID-19 update for the week of April 18-24, there were 223 positive cases, 14 hospitalizations and two new deaths.

As of April 24, there have been 11,068 total positive cases, 646 total hospitalizations and 118 deaths in the county. According to the state’s COVID-19 tracker, the 7-day average for percentage who test positive and cases per 100K is 9.7% and 44.8, respectively.

As of April 24, the percentage of county residents fully vaccinated is over 59.4%, with 62.6% of residents that are 5 years-or-older reported as fully vaccinated. Additional county numbers show that 57.1% of county residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
