The Homer Lady Trojans lost a tough game against Cortland on senior night Wednesday evening with a final score of 8-9.
With this result, Homer fell to an overall record of 7-7; while Cortland improved to 3-7.
During the game, six seniors from Homer (Morgan Brown, Sara Cargen, Lillian Luety, Danielle Quaile, Alexis Small, and Olivia Small) were recognized.
It was a close game between County rivals, with Cortland taking a 5 run lead at the end of the fourth inning.
However, the Lady Trojans would make a comeback after scoring 6 runs in the fifth inning to get a 1 run lead.
With things winding down, Cortland was able to get 2 runs at the top of the last inning of the game to win it.
