Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, May 15, 2022:
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible again today.
While a stray shower cannot be ruled out during the morning hours, the best chance for rain will come during the mid to late afternoon.
Scattered showers and storms may form into small clusters and move into the area this afternoon. The threat for severe weather is minimal, but some gusty winds or small hail are not out of the question.
There is a chance that some areas may miss out on the rain, and those that do see rain should only have it for a relatively brief part of the day.
Outside of any showers and storms, the sun will be in and out of clouds.
Winds will be from the southwest at around 5 mph. Top gusts, outside of any thunderstorms, will be under 20 mph.
Afternoon high temperatures will likely reach the upper 70s, but could end up a bit shy of that if showers and storms roll in early enough.
Showers and storms will quickly wind down as the sun sets, leaving partly cloudy skies overnight. Temperatures will back through the 60s and end up in the mid 50s overnight.
